Ria Mukerji is a third year environmental studies major and politics minor studying abroad in Accra, Ghana.
“Accra is the capital of this West African nation, and bustling and vibrant city, at that. I chose to study in Ghana as I had been looking for a more adventurous, off the beaten path sort of study abroad location and Ghana offered so much of that. The sprawling University campus in the suburb of Legon, just North of Accra, resembles the Santa Cruz campus, with it;s tree lined and dirt paths that students take to class; goes a long way to make a slug feel right at home! The University professors provide excellent education and research opportunities while the UCEAP Ghana Study Center staff goes above and beyond to make us feel right at home!”
